Game of Thrones, today is the deeday!

This might make history as the shortest mayoral term on record. Last year February, Former Mayor Stevens Mokgalapa was put to take charge of Tshwane by DA after Solly Msimanga was shuffled to Gauteng provincial legislature. Stevens Mokgalapa’s explosive recording surfaced where he was eavesdropped gossiping about his colleague’s, together with former MMC of Transport, Sheila Senkubuge. Stevens Mokgalapa took a decision to resign, opening the flood-gate for EFF and ANC to contest yet again for the new Mayor. These happened after sudden resignation and departure of Musi Maimane and Herman Mashaba, DA’s inability to sustain municipality is a bridge too far. We are waiting with anticipation to see with keen interest how things are going to unfold. Some political soothsayers and prophet of gloom have precipitated Maimane’s downfall, and he was a pillar of DA. ANC and EFF remains the only real possibility to take over Tshwane in the next Municipal Elections. The factional battles are far from over within DA which is regarded as a White Party, with a force of blaming antics of Hellen Zille. ANC holds hopes and imperative progressive reconnect and recreate social messiah of hope to its Constituency by building progressive alignment with its allies, alternative to kleptocracy and neoliberal policies through three forces—Social Movement, Trade Union (Cosatu) and Intellectuals to unite behind as a democratic Political instrument that can build grassroots of support and effectively engage in battle of ideologies and ultimately contest for power in all municipalities under opposition parties. The realm of possibility have been radically expanded.

Social hope of inclusive future beyond horrors from DA, now swing towards ANC and EFF. Let’s not reinvent the wheel of transformation and radical change that will bring stability and economic growth through multiparty democracy.@makalelasamson
