You don’t thank birds for flying or fish for swimming, because that’s what they are supposed to do. Government is obliged by law to deliver goods and services to the community, that a social contract and enforced compliance which is binding on the government to deliver, and failure to deliver, there will be repercussions, service delivery protests, mass actions and so forth. The community must hold the government to account, in all duty bound mandate. The executive wing of the state has been rogue and predatory, through its legislative wing, which also failed to hold the executive to account. The executive have a long time obfuscated, ducked and dived over shenanigans involving billions stolen from state coffers, it deferred matters until former advocated Thuli Madonsela, suggested a state capture probe to be established by Former state President, to be chaired by  Deputy Chief Justice Rymond Zondo. My question is, this another whitewash which after recommendations, there will be arrest or prosecutions or not. Even if is the job of the judiciary in a Constitutional democracy, still today were waiting for extradictment of the Gupta Brothers to no avail, must we trust the judiciary as independent and doing its job? It’s proper and valid to acknowledge the independent of the judiciary, but it’s also proper for judiciary to rap both knuckles to ensure that it carries its function without fear, favour or prejudice, if it wants to instil back faith and trust from the community regardless of the circumstances, the law must prevail.@makalelasamson
